Madhogarh- An Unknown Heritage Gem of Haryana

Amongst the village tours of Haryana, the Madhogarh village is a lesser-known tourist destination. Madhogarh is a village in the Mahendragarh district, Haryana, India. It is situated at the foot of Madhogarh Hill of Aravalli Mountain Range.  It is only around 12KM away from Mahendergarh.


The road is well built and maintained. If you wish to have a holistic experience of traveling in Haryana exploring unknown, traditional, and historical places, then a visit to Madhogarh village should definitely be on your bucket list. On one side, there is a valley, on the other side there is a hill and the road crawls in the middle.


 

It is surrounded by farms and ancient designed houses and offers amazing sight. The village has several ancient Kothis. These kothis have mesmerizing architecture. This place has a mesmerizing charm which has not only attracted local filmmakers but even Bollywood too. There have been many movies shot here.


Among the most critically acclaimed movies, Jalpari: The Desert Mermaid, Kaun Kitne Paani Mein was also filmed there. Madhogarh Fort is among the few left hilltop forts in Haryana and is the most popular attraction here. It is said that the fort was built by Madho Singh I in the first half of the 18th century. The fort is built as per the Hindu architectural style.
