PUNJAB: BETWEEN HERITAGE & FLAVORS

A journey into stories that are still lived. This is not the Punjab of postcards, it is the one found in age-old kitchens, in corridors that witnessed faith take shape, and in communities where warmth is instinctive, not taught.

We are heading to a land where history sits in everyday life, Where meals are shared before names, And where heritage is not a monument, it is a value.

For travellers who like experiences that stay even after the trip ends, For those who enjoy learning through conversations, And for explorers who believe culture is meant to be lived, not observed.

Itinerary

Day 0: 19th Dec

We begin with an overnight departure from Delhi and wake up to the quieter side in Sirhind, Punjab.

Day 1: 20th Dec

After a comfortable early check-in and some rest, we step into the day refreshed. The trip begins with breakfast at a traditional spot, after which we start our heritage walk that introduces us to architectural spaces rooted in centuries of history. The walk highlights how this region influenced belief systems, community culture, and collective identity.

During the day, we share a community meal built around equality, intention, and service, an experience that reflects Punjabโ€™s values more deeply than any explanation could. After lunch, we continue tracing stories that bring together faith, resilience, and everyday life.

The evening is intentionally slow. We return to the stay, unwind, discuss what we saw, and connect over reflections from the day. This space is about conversations; what stood out, what inspired, and how traditions continue to live through people, not monuments.

Day 2: 21st Dec

The next morning, we begin another chapter in Patiala, a city known for its regal identity, culinary heritage, and carefully preserved structures. This day is dedicated to exploring how culture evolved through craftsmanship, governance, and lifestyle. We walk through iconic neighbourhoods, observe older establishments still functioning in their original form, and trace how royal influence continues to reflect in architecture, attire, and local customs.

Food is central to the second day; not as a separate activity, but as a lens to understand migration, community structure, generosity, and regional preferences. From traditional snacks to iconic recipes, we uncover how food became part of identity here.

The journey concludes by afternoon, and we begin our return to Delhi, reaching back late evening with a deeper understanding of this land; its people, its practices, and its emotional generosity.
